2015 Programme

We’ve got a jam packed year, full of all kinds of activities and talks to inspire us – take a look and see for yourself!

12th January: Post-Christmas Catch Up and Quiz

Rather than a usual meeting, we’re heading to the Charles Bradlaugh to test out our general knowledge in their pub quiz.

9th February: Anyone Can Learn to Paint

Chris and Roger Kinsey will be teaching us how to paint a mini masterpiece – however good or bad you think you might be!

9th March: Awesome Open Evening

We’re going to be showcasing everything that’s fab about the Northampton Town Roses, with a series of mini craft workshops and demonstrations from our talented ladies – come and get involved!

13th April: Nature of the Nene Valley

Come and discover why the Nene Valley in Northamptonshire in internationally important for its wildlife, and make some wildlife-friendly goodies to take away

11th May: Marvellous Mosaics

Kate Reiger will be teaching us how to make beautiful mosaics using coloured glass and reclaimed crockery pieces

8th June: Icing and Decorating Cakes

The lovely Lianne will be showing us how to ice and decorate cakes, with lots of handy hints and tips, before letting us loose on our own creations!

13th July: Anglo-Saxon Northamptonshire

We’re delving into the past this month with Paul Blinkhorn, who will be giving a talk on Anglo-Saxon Northamptonshire

10th August: Pimms Picnic at Abington Park

We’re venturing out for a summer’s evening picnic, with plenty of food, games and maybe a Pimms or two…

14th September: Lacemaking

Barbara Potter will be talking to us about the history of lacemaking and we’ll get to have a go ourselves too!

12th October: AGM and Recipe Swap

Our Annual General Meeting followed by a savoury recipe swap and taste-test competition – can you make the most tasty savoury treat?

9th November: Hope Centre

Mary Crook will be talking to us about the extremely important work of the Hope Centre in Northampton

14th December: Christmas Party!

Our annual Christmas party with a quiz, festive crafts, secret Santa and lots of tasty nibbles to get us in the Christmas spirit!
